During the visit, the parties exchanged their views on further development of the waste management area in Kyiv, particularly, Veolia presented three alternative options, one of which is the mechanical and biological waste processing with the production of alternative fuels and further heat and power generation.
During the stay, the Ukrainian delegation visited one of the biggest in Germany mechanical and biological waste processing plants EVG GmbH (with the capacity of 190 000 tpy) and the incineration plant based on alternative fuel Vattenfall in Rostock (with the capacity of 180 000 tpy).
