Veolia Ukraine at the International Health and Safety Week

The third edition of Veolia’s International Health and Safety Week took place from 18th to 22nd October 2017 in all the Ukrainian subsidiaries in Kyiv, Ternopil, Chernivtsi and Yalta.

"Health & Safety is a crucial and not negotiable value for Veolia Group,  says Korolyuk Olexander,  General Manager of  Veolia Ukraine company.  This third edition has the strong ambition to strengthen the health and safety culture in all Veolia subsidiaries throughout Ukraine and to aim for "zero accidents".

This year we concentrate our efforts on the 5 new high-risk management standards (control of hazardous energy, electricity, lifting operations, work at heights and high-pressure waterydroblasting), aiming at gaining in-depth knowledge of management standards for high-risk activities and ensuring that they are properly understood and implemented by all our staff members.

"The Group's responsibility is to ensure the physical and psychological integrity of all its employees, with the objective of "zero accidents," explains Frédéric Goetz, Executive Vice President Health and Safety. "To achieve this objective, every accident is analysed in order to continuously improve our control of occupational risks. The health and safety continuous improvement system is backed by good practices, both internal and external, and by pooling the expertise of our three businesses."
